A ‘Yes’
vote on Propositions 400 and
401 will allow for the
rezoning and General Plan
Amendment necessary to
construct a Walmart store
southeast of Cave Creek and
Carefree Highway and provide
an avenue through which Cave
Creek residents can maintain
our unique quality of life.
Based on feedback from our
neighbors, the following
issues are among the most
important to the community
of Cave Creek:

Jobs: Voting “YES”
on Props 400 and 401
will create
approximately 300 new,
quality jobs that offer
competitive wages and
comprehensive benefits,
including health
insurance, company
funded 401k, stock
purchase, and
merchandise discounts.

Sales Tax Revenue and
Retention:
Everyday, the Town of
Cave Creek loses sales
tax dollars to
surrounding communities
when residents are
forced to shop outside
town limits for
groceries and basic
needs. Voting “YES” on
Props 400 and 401 will
keep our sales
tax dollars in Cave
Creek and it will bring
new sales tax
revenue to our
community.

Convenience: Voting
“YES” on Props 400 & 401
will bring one-stop
shopping convenience to
Cave Creek. For the
first time, we’ll be
able to buy our general
merchandise, groceries,
and fresh produce in
one, convenient location
within the town limits.

Preservation and
Partnership: Voting
“YES” on Props 400 & 401
will help to preserve
the unique character
that is Cave Creek by
allowing the
preservation of the
historic town core.
Preservation of open
space is also a
priority. Sales tax
revenue could go a long
way toward achieving our
open space goals.
Walmart
takes pride in establishing
a presence and partnership
within the community. In
2008, Walmart stores, Sam's
Club locations and the Walmart Foundation
gave more than $10.5 million
in cash and in-kind
donations to local
organizations in the
communities they serve in
the state of Arizona.
Through additional funds
donated by customers and
associates throughout the
state, the retailers
contributions in Arizona
totaled more than $11.4
million. In Cave Creek, Walmart has donated to the
Film and Arts Festival and
the 4th of July
Fireworks - they can make
the greatest impact in our
communities by supporting
causes that are important to
the residents of Cave Creek
in our own neighborhoods.
